Stoneykirk Parish Church Annual Fete was held on Saturday 19th July, 2008 in the beautiful surroundings of Ardwell House with kind permission of Mr and Mrs Brewis.

The weather was dry and sunny although rather blustery.

In the absence of Lady Emily, Countess of Stair, due to illness, the fete was opened by Mr Francis Brewis. In sending her apologies he mentioned that she had promised to come again on another occasion.

The entertainment was provided by Sam on the bagpipes and the "Blue Bombshells" Dance Troup from Stranraer, under the leadership of Emma.

Pets Parade was judged by Mrs Brewis, dogs only taking part this year, and all being very well behaved.

The usual stalls, games and tea tent were manned by volunteers and a substantial amount was raised for church funds, and thanks go to all who helped to make the day a success.
